WHEN ARE TRYOUTS?
The tryout date for the 2021-2022 season will be posted in April on the Tryout Info page. We hold tryouts every summer the week after 4th of July for all ages.
We recommend participation in our open gyms and clinics during the summer. Summer Program is also on the website in April.
HOW MANY TEAMS PER AGE GROUP?
We form teams for ages 12 through 18, The number of teams will depend on the number of players trying out, skill level, and the ability to form "club-ready" teams by position.
HOW MANY PLAYERS ON EACH CLUB TEAM?
There are usually 10 players on each team. On occasion, there will be an eleventh player. Developmental teams can have up to 12 players.
IS THERE GUARANTEED PLAYING TIME?
Every Player is guaranteed practice, training, and mental coaching. However, there is no guaranteed playing time in tournaments. Playing time is determined first by skill, then attitude and effort. This is not a recreational club. It is a competitive club.
WHEN AND WHERE ARE PRACTICES?
Each team practices 3 times a week- usually twice during the week and once on Saturday. All are held at Sport Axis and/or Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in Broomfield. Teams will have consistent practice times at the same venue the entire season with limited variances.
WHAT IS THE CLUB FEE AND HOW IS IT PAYABLE?
The club fee is $2300-$3300. Please see the Club Fees page.
$500 is due at tryouts and is considered the deposit. The rest of the fee is made in monthly payments starting in November.
CAN DIVORCED PARENTS SPLIT THE FEES?
Whoever signs the contract (one signer) is responsible for the whole fee. The signer is responsible for getting the funds from the other parent and sending it to us.
WHAT IF MY PLAYER IS INJURED OR QUITS THE TEAM?
Club fee is due and payable whether the player is injured, ill, quits for any reason, or is dismissed for any reason. All of our expenses are incurred in the first couple of months and the fee is based on the commitment of all players which includes YOUR player. Once a player makes a verbal/electronic commitment, she is responsible to her teammates, her coaches and is financially committed for the entire season.
WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE CLUB FEES?
Facility, training, coaching, all tournament fees, RMR team registration, RMR scorekeeper/Referee Clinics, uniform package, practice t-shirts, a volleyball, and backpack. It does NOT include travel expenses such as transportation, gas, hotel, food, etc. (Travel team fee does not include air & hotel for their out of state tournament)
CAN PARENTS ATTEND TRYOUTS, PRACTICES, TOURNAMENTS?
Tryouts and practices are CLOSED. Parents, friends, and family are encouraged to attend tournaments to give positive support!
TRYOUTS- ARE TEAMS PREDETERMINED?
Players are selected for teams based on talent, skill, and positions at the time of tryouts. Our club philosophy is to invite players to tryouts, but not to pressure or bribe them with offers and promises. Inviting players to our tryouts does not guarantee a certain team or position. Rumors regarding tryouts or player selection are inevitable. However, we are an ethical, honest club and will always remain so.
IF MY DAUGHTER IS NOT ABLE TO ATTEND AN OUT OF STATE TOURNAMENT, ANY SCHEDULED TOURNAMENT, PRACTICE, OR TRAINING, DO WE STILL HAVE TO PAY?
YES, in regard to all of the above. Please understand the full commitment to your team, coaches, and club to attend all scheduled practices, training, and all tournaments.
DO PLAYERS ALWAYS HAVE TO WEAR PRACTICE T-SHIRTS TO PRACTICE?
Yes, we are a club that promotes unity among all athletes and all teams.
DO CLUB TEAMS TAKE HOLIDAY BREAKS AND SPRING BREAK?
Club teams usually have the week of Christmas off as well as New Years Eve and Day, and the week of Thanksgiving. It is rare that teams get a week off for Spring Break as that is the busiest month for tournaments. We appreciate and expect everyone to plan their personal activities around the team's calendar schedule and to keep their commitment to the team and the club.
